How to keep a wedding ring and gift
Diamond
The quality of diamonds depends on 4C (Color, Carat, Clarity, Cut). The best color of diamond is colorless. But finding a colorless diamond is not easy. Diamonds are divided from D to Z depending on how strong the yellow light is based on the blue of the photo. Korean people prefer G color.
The grade is divided from FL to IF and closer to FL means no flaws. Almost all diamonds, however, are natural stone flaws because of the fine carbon marks that have formed during the crystallization process.
Carat means weight, and 1 carat is 0.5 g. Commonly referred to as a unit, is a unit of one decimal place or less. For example, a 0.23 carat is a two-tailed triplet. Obviously the heaviest and the bigger the price.
The cuts that determine the luster of diamonds are divided into brilliant, oval, marquee, emerald, fair, and square shapes. Brilliant cuts, which have a total of 58 small sides, are most commonly used for comic articles. Even if you have an eye to distinguish good things, it is essential to get a certificate once you buy a diamond. For diamonds of 1 carat or more, you should receive a professional appraisal certificate from GIA.
When cleaning eggs, gently rub them in lukewarm soapy water using a detergent, rinse them in clear water and wipe them with a soft cloth, or add the same amount of water and ammonia for 30 minutes After dipping, rub gently with a brush. There is also a way to use gem washing agents.
It is a good idea to check whether the setting has been loosened about once a year.
Ruby
In the case of colored gemstones, there is no clear rating criteria, so more careful selection is necessary. In general, the darker and brighter the photo, the better the clearer the inside is.
Ruby is good to have a fresh red color. Transparency can be seen by passing an incandescent lamp through a ruby and observing it with the naked eye. Even if eggs are small, we choose those with superior quality.
Ruby does not have a certificate, but a discriminator attached to it, which reveals whether it is a natural stone or a synthetic stone.
[Archive] Ruby is the hardest gem among colored gemstones and is relatively easy to keep. After wearing it, be sure to wipe dust and sweat with a soft cloth.
When washing, first soak in warm soapy water or shampoo for a few minutes, then wipe the surface of the jewelry with a soft cloth or sheepskin by brushing and rubbing the entire tide with a toothbrush
Emerald
It is good quality with clear bright green. Emeralds are weak in hardness and often have many photo inclusions and scratches in the jewelry itself. However, you should check whether the scratches are inside or outside. If the scratches are on the outside, the value is significantly reduced.
When you look at the emerald cutting state, it is important to look at the thickness of the side by side, and it is better to have several layers in parallel on the side.
[Storage] Emerald is weak against heat and irritation, so be careful to avoid hot water strong ultrasonic cleaners and be careful not to strike or drop it because of its low strength compared to other jewels.
After wearing it, be sure to wipe the dust and sweat with a soft cloth and keep it in the case.
Sapphire
A unique velvety impression with purple circles and soft cashmere on top of the surface. In Korea, it is preferred to have darker ink than blue.
Sapphire has a unique inclusion, so there may be some stains. In the case of synthetic stone, it is possible to distinguish the boundary line of stained area by naked eye when looking at natural light.
Unlike diamonds, sapphire does not polish with strict, constant cuts.
[Storage] Because it is the strongest gem in heat, pressure, shock, friction, etc., it is easy to keep without scratches.
For washing, dip in warm soapy water or shampoo for 10 to 20 minutes. Rinse with a soft toothbrush and wipe with a soft cloth. Frequently wipe it off with a soft cloth and wipe it with soapy water to keep it in good condition.
Pearl
It is not possible to artificially change shape only among the jewels because it is used as it is in the formed state of living shells. The thicker the projecting effect, the stronger it is to denature or damage, so avoid thinner. In addition, quality pearls are not irregular in their layers, and they even shine like a mirror and even face.
The color of pearls is close to white and pinkish is the best product, graded in white, gray, cream, gold. Pearl shape is better rounded pearls.
One of the simplest ways to distinguish between counterfeit and natural cultured pearls is natural pearls if you feel a sense of clinging to them with a light pearl on their front teeth, and if they are slippery, they are counterfeit.
For pearls of the same grade, the larger the diameter, the higher the value. The diameter is 5 ~ 7mm according to the diameter, and if the diameter is over 8mm, the rare value is increased.
[Storage] Do not go near objects that are acidic. It is weak against heat and shock, and is so weak that it stains even if soapy water or fragrance is buried, and it is good with scratches.
Once peeled or discolored, it is the safest way to leave it to a professional. If you usually wipe it with a soft cloth and wipe it with a cloth moistened with olive oil, you can see a constant gloss. (Do not ultrasonic cleaning or steam cleaning)
